Judge Mackey

Shortly after the bench trial (no jury) in which Judge Mackey convicted Jason and sentenced him life plus 25 years - it was discovered that the Judge was a victim of sexual abuse at the hands of his father. Beginning with the post-conviction hearing and throughout the appeal process, the appellate lawyer, Dean Stowers, begins a campaign to set a precedence. If Stowers had not relentlessly pursued this and focused all that energy on his clients innocence Jason might have not spent his entire life in prison.
